National Hunt Racing: Tipster/Writer
I started my Twitter page (@OverandClear) in November 2018 with the aim of providing regular tips with detailed write-ups; something I thought was lacking at the time. While tipping is still my bread and butter, I have featured on a number of podcasts about National Hunt racing and I have also written numerous articles about this great sport.
My modus operandi as a tipster is to seek value. In a time where bookmakers are restricting access to “Best Odds Guaranteed (BOG)”, it is more important than ever to know what price constitutes a good bet. As such, I often look for horses that I feel are overpriced. Last season, 72% of my selections went off at a shorter priced than advised.
I am not the type to have multiple selections every day. Instead, I prefer a more prudent approach; all selections are thoroughly researched with the goal of making long-term profit. This methodology has allowed me to make a ROI of ~50% in the 2018/19 & 2019/20 seasons.
